General Description

45S5 Bioactive Glass is a high-purity material composed of SiO₂, Na₂O, CaO, and P₂O₅, recognized worldwide as the gold standard of bioactive glasses. It bonds directly to bone and soft tissue by forming a hydroxyapatite layer upon contact with body fluids, promoting vascularization, cellular activity, and new bone formation.

Available as powders and granules, 45S5 Bioactive Glass offers versatile solutions for orthopedic, dental, maxillofacial, and tissue engineering applications — from injectable biomaterials and cements to defect fillers requiring long-term presence and controlled resorption.
